Litchfield Veterinary Hospital has  been providing exceptional medical, dental and surgical care to dogs, cats, and pocket pets in the Litchfield, Bantam, Morris, Goshen, and Torrington area for over 20 years. We are proud of our compassionate care and exceptional medicine and surgery.  

Our job is not only to provide exceptional care to your pet when he or she isn't feeling well, but also to teach you how to keep your best friend happy and healthy for life.

Our Veterinary Care Team

The Litchfield Veterinary Hospital is proud to employ highly skilled animal care providers. Our enitre team is compassionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated to providing exceptional care for our patients and our clients.  

Our team is comprised of experienced veterinary technicians, including certified and licensed technicians, veterinary assistants, receptionists and kennel attendants. Our doctors believe that trained veterinary technicians are essential in providing exceptional care for animals, and invaluable in monitoring anesthetized and critically ill patients.  Our technicians play an important role in educating clients about pet care and explaining medical treatments.  A certified veterinary technician is the equivalent to a nurse in human medicine. Certified Veterinary Technicians must graduate from an accredited Veterinary Technician College and pass a National Exam. All of our technicians and assistants attend annual continuing education seminars to enhance the care provided to our patients. Our kennel attendants are skilled and compassionate.  Our team relies on their support to care and tend to our patients needs.  Many of our attendants are students with a passion for veterinary medicine, aspiring to continue their education in the field of veterinary technology.
