Posted : 12/30/2011 Comments : I WAS with Dr Battista since she was an apprentice many years ago & have trusted hers and Dr Carey's professionalism UNTIL the cruciate repair went bad on my best friend, my Cane Corso Brit dog.TNT previous dog had both cruciates (knees) repaired and I was able to rehabilitate her so I WAS familiar with the procedure and physical therapy . The traveling surgeon they use was supposedly the best but when it comes time for after care, try getting a hold of him. Long story short, Brit had an infection so bad that it turned into a mersa infection & broke a rib in Brits abdomen. Not only that, she was lethargic & ill and both Dr Carey & Dr Battista insisted Brit was just a wimp & were suspecting a possible cancer because her liver enzyme count went very high. They were totally off track, I did my own research, her enzyme count went so high because of the Meticam pain med she was on. That was easily remedied by putting her on milk thistle and Sam-e. Oh and that mersa infection that they were suspecting cancer, well another vet looked at her repaired knee x-rays which were now 7 months old & knew immediately what was wrong! He put Brit back into surgery and found a broken suture in Brits knee that was completely covered by scar tissue. My NEW vet was able to save Brit's knee but unfortunately had to cut a lot of cartilage to repair what the first BUTCHER had done! All I can say is, although these veterinarians may seem kind and professional, ARE THEY REALLY?? BEFORE your dog suffers for 8 months unnecessarily like my poor Brit who's the kindest soul, do your research people!! Would you really want a TRAVELING VET do surgery on your body? If not then why should your best friend!! My Brit is comfortable now but will NEVER be able to run again or enjoy our long walks and Geocaching. As far as the ladies at the front desk, they ARE courteous and helpful. Posted By :

Louis and Jennifer S. Posted : 3/19/2011 Comments : We just want to thank Dr. Carey and her staff for their kindness and sincerity when we had to put our 16 year old lab mix, Cassie, to sleep. They were all very professional and extremely patient when we needed extra time before and after the procedure. We had a private, comfortable room where we could spend time with Cassie and grieve afterward. And the beautiful paw print plaster plaque that they gave us was an extremely wonderful memento along with a tuft of her fur!! We can not say enough how much we appreciated your caring and kindness. The quality of care and special attention to each and every patient is exceptional from Drs. Carey and Battista and every member of the staff. My dogs actually like going to the vet now! Posted By :

Posted : 8/4/2009 Comments : I cannot say enough about the great care my Golden Retriever, Dusty, has received from Dr. Carey and Dr. Batista for the last 15 years, and hopefully a few more to go. The Staff has been so caring and wonderful in our latest adventure with Dusty. I am so happy that I have them to watch over her, and to get the latest and best advice for her everyday care. I can't say enough good things about them, they are the BEST! Thank YOU! Pat Bednaz Posted By :
