Veterinary Assistants:
Wendy Wendy has been a member of the Litchfield Veterinary Hospital team since 2008. She has been committed to pet care for the last 25 years. As a passionate animal lover, she has worked as a veterinary hospital manager, veterinary assistant and kennel manager. Wendy is owner of "Peace of Mind Pet Care", a pet sitting and house sitting service established in the Litchfield area since 1996. Wendy is also a graduate of The Master Program at National K-9 School for Dog Trainers in Columbus, Ohio. Wendy resides in Litchfield with her husband and two young daughters. They have a dog named Zoe, and two cats, Darla and Todd.
Sue Sue started at our hospital in the Spring of 2011, she brings with her many years experience in the area of animal care, starting as a volunteer and progressing to reception, veterinary assistant, licensed veterinary technician, professional groomer, practice manager and hospital administrator. After over 30 years in the veterinary field, working in hospitals on both coasts, her main focus now is client interaction and communication. Along with a lifelong love of animals, Sue has enjoyed success as a professional artist and seamstress and continues to pursue these interests. She feels fortunate to have made her living following her passions in life. Along with her husband, Ron, she shares her home in New Hartford with two cats Dodger and Laker, a rescued flying squirrel and a water garden full of fish and frogs!
Patty
Patty joined the Litchfield Veterinary Hospital team in 2010. She has successfully completed a two year course with Penn Foster College as a Veterinary Assistant in 2009. Patty serves as an assistant in all functions of the hospital and has a strong passion to work with animals and a high standard for animal care. She is currently continuing her education with certified courses in a variety of topics. Patty lives in Torrington with her husband and 4 longhaired Germain Shephards, "Toby", "Cassie", "Sheeba", and "Kallie". She enjoys walking and hiking with them in her spare time. Patty also takes a special interest in agility and obedience training with her dogs.
Chrissy Chrissy is the newest member of the Litchfield Veterinary Hospital team. She began working with us in August of 2011. She has over 10 years experience in the veterinary field. Previously she worked as a veterinary assistant and now as a receptionist in our hospital . She currently lives in Waterbury with her husband, 3 cats and dog.
